Stats for the weekend: two red-lights in the first round of eliminations. A bad car fire pausing the races for an hour. Rain shutting down races the rest of the day.
Greg and Dad doing some work on the Ford during a break in the rain.
We’re at Lebanon Valley Dragway. It’s hot, and only going to get hotter. Somewhere nearby someone is playing Kid Rock’s Sweet Home Alabama. I suspect it’s the trailer flying the Confederate flag. Tomorrow we start early; three drivers to register.
Just before takeoff.
Rolling.
Necessary equipment.
Daughter crashes for the weekend. Dad directed how to turn on the welcome lights. Mom directed how to crank all of the heat sources. So, you know, life is normal.
Some videos Dad took over the weekend. Comments by Daughter 🙂
We’re at Lebanon Valley Speedway this weekend. Daughter will be racing for the first time ever. 2nd son is skeptical.
That white stuff is painted on the car to protect the paint from flying melted rubber. It dries clear and peels off.
Roll so large can’t fit in one photo.
Big Al both dislikes rear passengers and freaks out when Dad leaves the vehicle.
There’s DAYLIGHT under those tires!
Biggest darn truck that’s ever lived at this house!
