BUT before we could begin Alan wanted to check tire pressure – and once again the valve would not seal – sooooo here is Alan using his compressor to fix a flat!

No he is not praying - but IS swearing!

No he is not praying – but IS swearing!

He just HAD to check the tire pressure!

No rug beaters but serving warm brownies and fresh fruit!

Friendliest antique shop we’ve ever been in – seems to be a local gathering spot for the locals.

Glad we went across route 31 – nice easy riding – town of Bedford looked like an old western town, it was Sunday so nothing opened.  There are numerous historical buildings.  Next time will stay 2 days, There is a route where you can see 16 covered bridges.

Day 1~ 08/06/16 ~ We are off!

Saturday morning, approximately 7:30AM! We parked at 6:30AM and were chauffeured over to IHOP for a good breakfast before setting off for the day.

We always begin with Ann & Hope parking lot because….Dunkin Donuts across the street! Also: we can’t fit in the Dunkin parking lot!

Can you see me now?

Bedford, PA

They’re off!

Where in Maine are we?

The summer begins

No winners here!

Stats for the weekend: two red-lights in the first round of eliminations. A bad car fire pausing the races for an hour. Rain shutting down races the rest of the day.

Greg and Dad doing some work on the Ford during a break in the rain.

Went to the track for a quick photo session with Baby Bren. Standing in the middle of the track with your shoes sticking to the rubber never gets old.

It’s Musclepalooza Memorial Day 2016

We’re at Lebanon Valley Dragway. It’s hot, and only going to get hotter. Somewhere nearby someone is playing Kid Rock’s Sweet Home Alabama. I suspect it’s the trailer flying the Confederate flag.  Tomorrow we start early; three drivers to register.

Just before takeoff.

Rolling.

Necessary equipment.

Winter “Camping”

Daughter crashes for the weekend. Dad directed how to turn on the welcome lights. Mom directed how to crank all of the heat sources. So, you know, life is normal.

Virginia

This is Big Al waiting to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway except it was 41 degrees Tuesday!  Go figure so not happening!   But Virginia is candy for the eyes.

177 Steps

Going up was easier than going down!  Made it up just didn’t look out.  All the steps were see through grated.

Proud to be an American

The title says it all. Went to the Naval Air Museum. The POW stories make your heart weep.
